Here's how to make these sour cream style candy holders:
Cut a 12x12 Sheet of paper into four 6x6 pieces. I am using this cute paper form Imaginisce's newline because I love all the of the small cute images on it.
Apply Tape to one 6" edge of each piece of paper and roll into a tube. Each 12x12 paper will yield 4 tubes. I like to use Crafty Power Tape by 3L Scrapbook Adhesives because it is easy to apply and holds better than anything else!
Next, flatten one end of the tube. Insert this end into the Bind-It-All machine and line up with the holes printed on the top of the machine to punch 5 holes.
Since the tube measures just under 3", it is only possible to safely punch 5 holes into the tube. The Bind-It-All punches a hole every half inch so if we tried for 6 holes, we would get partial holes on the edges of the tube.
There are styles of this container where the ends are glued shut but they have to be ripped open and essentially destroyed to get at the goodies inside. The method of closure I am showing you, woven ribbon, allows the package to be opened neatly. It can then be folded and stored for reuse year after year.
Repeat the hole punching process on the other end of the tube, flatting it perpendicular to the first end (east and west versus north and south).
